Onion print by Ryo Takemasa

I've been really attracted to food illustrations lately (ok, always), and this onion print by Japanese illustrator Ryo Takemasa recently caught my eye. I especially love the mottled, papery texture of the onion skins, lightening in color as each layer is peeled back. His tuna slice is also rather pretty. It sort of reminds me of Eric Carle's work.
